Running Shenanigans + BlogEveryDayinMay

This weekend I worked. And then I ran my 5th Lincoln Half Marathon on Sunday, here's the recap!

one & two. My finisher's medal.
three. My dad and I after the race.
four. My running shoes all ready to go.
five. My bib for running, I was one of 10,000 total runners!
six. After the run with my #1 fan, thanks to my husband for all his support through my training and on race day!
seven. Joel, my uncle is the guy in the white tank top next to the street sign. He is amazing and ran the full marathon, 26.2 miles! I snapped this pic while we were cheering him on for his last mile!
eight. There's me...almost done!
nine. Uncle Neal and me afterwards.

So running is sort of a family hobby on my dad's side. There are a lot of us who like to run all sorts of distances. Here is the family pic from the marathon and half marathon. All of us ran the half marathon, except for my uncle in the blue, who ran the full. Everyone did awesome!!
In this picture from left to right: Shelby (cousin's girlfriend), Nathan (cousin), Neal (uncle), me, and in the back row are Andy (cousin), Marty (dad) and Joel (uncle).

And...I was really happy with my run yesterday! I ran my personal best time!! :)

Day Five (a day late): Publicly profess your love and devotion for one of your blogger friends

3-0h-1GraceSt-1

This lady, Samantha over at 3 Oh 1 Grace Street has been a huge inspiration to me and my blog! She is the one who first encouraged me to start blogging after I constantly followed hers and read her posts. Since I started, she has helped me learn so much about blogging and has given me so many tips and suggestions on how to improve my blog! She has taught me the do's and don'ts of blogging. She also reads my blog all the time, even if some of my posts might not be the greatest.

Samantha and I also are friends in real life. We grew up together, went to school together and are still good friends! We are even sorta related because our husbands are cousins!

So thanks to her for being a great blogger friend and an awesome real life friend!!

Day Six: What do you do? (besides your job)

If I had to answer this, I would say I: run, love the Lord, am a wife to a wonderful husband, spoil 2 nieces and a nephew, bake, attempt to craft, spend time with family and friends and I just try to be the best version of  myself I can be!!
