Weekend Update

It's time for the last weekend update of 2012...crazy! Linking up with Sami and Leeann, here we go!

Friday night consisted of a movie date with my husband!

If you haven't seen this movie, it's a good romantic comedy!

Saturday morning, I went to a class at my fitness center and got a good workout in!

Then, it was time to celebrate my cousin's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding, and it was great to see alot of my family! We had a good time dancing and ended the night at Applebee's for late night drinks and appetizers!

Sunday, I spent most of the day on the couch as I am trying to fight a bad cold.

Also, although my family on my dad's side celebrated the wedding of my cousin this weekend, we also lost a great man in our family.  My uncle has been fighting cancer since earlier this year, and he lost his battle on Saturday. We will all miss him dearly and will remember him best for being a great musician, awesome cook and just a wonderful guy! We will all miss him very much!

No Longer a Boots Virgin

I'm excited to announce that I finally bought myself a pair of tall boots, yeah! For the past couple years, I continually see my friends in their super, cute, tall, boots with their skinny jeans, and I've been wanting a pair of my own.

After looking for awhile, I finally found a pair I liked and a pair that fit! ...it's hard to find a size 11 boot that is also big enough to fit my larger than normal calves! Trust me, having big feet is not fun when trying to buy any type of cute shoes!

Anyways, enough of my complaining...here is the pair I got!

They are Madden Girl Zerge boots, and so far, I'm loving them!

What do you think? Any other suggestions on good brands for when I'm ready to get another pair?

Side note...I also found out that my left calf is a little bigger than my right because it takes more effort for me to zip the left boot. Anyone else have that problem?

It's Ok Thursday

It's Linkup time for It's Ok Thursday with Amber and Neely, yeah!

It's Ok... ...That I wish I had a full day to just lay on the couch and relax after being a busybody this weekend ...That even though I live in Nebraska and should be used to it, I hate these single digit temperatures ...That I bought the Nashville soundtrack (ABC TV show), and continually listen to about 4 songs ...That I wish it was Saturday so we can celebrate my cousin's wedding
....That I hate cancer and what it does to those we love
...That I finally was able to go to my fitness class last night and was super excited to go after missing it for over a month
...That I didn't blog for a week (I use the excuse that I was home for Christmas and had slower internet service)

Christmas Weekend Update

It's December 26th, which means it has been almost one week since I last posted. I've been very busy with Christmas gatherings and other activities, so here is the long update on my weekend! I hope you all had a blessed and wonderful Christmas!

Friday night...graduating party with some friends...good times!

Saturday...we went to visit a family friend in the hospital and then went out to eat to celebrate my sister's graduation from college.

Sunday...church, then some basketball at the gym and an afternoon nap.

Sunday night...Christmas with Ryan's family,

 and then some Pitch to end the night (which us females won)

Monday...workout in the morning with my mom and sister, and then I had to work at the hospital

Tuesday...Merry Christmas! (our first Christmas together married),

Christmas with my family, and more cards, and then Christmas with Ryan's extended family.

We came home Tuesday night and it was back to work today for both of us.
